Drumline Brings a New Sound to MCLC

Over 30 MCLC students are participating in this year’s drumline. Drumline is a drum performance group that includes competition between schools to see which drumline is better.  ALC sophomore, Carlos Gonzalez said, “Drumline gets people motivated by hearing a drum’s rhythm”. Junior, Adalberto Leon from ALC said that, “It is a way for students just to get into music and to start something new in life.” Practices started 3 weeks ago after school from  3:30 – 4:30, and are held by the small gym. The coaches are giving students 10 weeks of practice.  If they succeed then they will perform at the next year’s  football games. In approximately 7 weeks they will have their first performance here at MCLC to show the school  that we have a band.

If you want to be a heavy metal drummer, most of them started out in the high school drumline. It’s a great way for aspiring drummers to learns some chops!
