“Does going to tutoring affect your grades and GPA?”
My name is Jonathan Pascua. I am a new journalist looking for something fun to write about. I went to tutoring and I assumed many students go to tutoring. When I arrived to tutoring I only saw 1 other classmate. I asked my teacher, “Where are the other students who are failing your class? ” He told me that they don’t come. So I knew what my next article would be on.
I created a student survey. I only used three questions that best fit my interest. First question was the amount of classes you’re are failing or passing with a D. The answers I had were 0 classes, 1-2, 3-4 5 or all my classes. Another was the there GPA average. I put 1.0-1.5, 1.6-2.0, 2.1-2.8, 2.9-3.9 or a 4.0. The final question I had was about their visits to tutoring. I asked if they had gone in the last two weeks. Only answers I had were yes and no. I chose only random students. After I got all my surveys back I was astonished. I tried to calculate all this answers into one. Ms. Forney showed me how. I began my calculation and I got my results.
Right below is the student survey I created.
