ALC is finishing one more year, a good or bad year to any student we are only days away until the end of this school year!  Some teachers are still getting laid off and will leave ALC for next year and won’t be able to come back. :  (The seniors are leaving  to go into the real world to find themselves. The rest of the students are moving a grade up. Some of the juniors are worried about not passing their classes next year as seniors and not being able to graduate on stage. Or  getting a lot of absences or tardies and not being able to make them up on time for them to graduate. For those juniors that are going to be seniors next year that still have to make up their classes in senior year they  have to make up their classes as soon as possible before it’s too late and they won’t be able to graduate next to their friends. However, the new Seniors have to be ready to apply for their colleges and the best options that they consider for themselves for their future.  Sophomores are getting the understanding of how important their grades actually are. Sophomore and Junior report cards count the most for college.  Also the new juniors have to do a lot of tests like the SAT,  ACT and SAT Subject tests.  Being a junior is one of the hardest years in high school. The new juniors have to know that their G.P.A count since the G.P.A. at the end of junior year is the one the colleges look at to decide whether they will accept you or not. The freshman still have a long way to go but that doesn’t mean they can slack off in their classes. The better they do since in the beginning, the less pressure they will have at the end.

A few students shared their thoughts about this school year:

Oscar Rosales: “It went by too quick, I can’t believe we are almost going to be seniors, it was a pretty fun year but hopefully our senior year will be the best and most memorable one.”

Maria Garcia:”Well, I think this school year was pretty fun and the hardest year of high school. And well can’t believe we are going to be seniors because the year went so fast without knowing!!

Katherine Mendez: “It’s been a pain in the rear, it was kind of a struggle, it was kind of difficult. “

Janet Calvo: “This school year was fun, it made me talk more with people. I used to be really shy.”

Stephanie Gonzalez: “ I guess it got us prepared for our senior year, and motivated us to try not to fail the  classes.”

Adalberto Leon: “The way that I feel about my junior year was that I got to feel the pressure on some classes that I took and it’s not a good feeling when you are behind in some work from that subject.”

Chris Torres: “I feel that my junior year was pretty fun, got some bad grades BUT working on them.”
