Some good places to go during the summer
Summer. Fifth graders leaving elementary school, seniors graduating, students with fails and students with straight A’s, we all expect and wait the whole year for summer to come. But what if you are stuck at home watching Family Guy, The Office, That 70′s Show over and over because you don’t have any fun places to go and hang out with your friends.
Well, this article might save you from a boring summer. Los Angeles is full of fun places that are easy to get to without having a car. These all require some extra cash. Stay tuned for free (or almost free) fun stuff to do next week.
SANTA MONICA BEACH:
Santa Monica Beach is a really nice a place to go with your friends or family. Santa Monica has more than just the beach that is the main attraction. On the pier there are a lot of restaurants. For example Bubba Gump, Churro man cart, Carousel cafe. However, it’s not only about the restaurants. Take a ride on the wild side in a small roller coaster dragon ride, a Farris wheel, or Bumper cars. There is also a small aquarium where kids can go and touch some of the aquatic animals like star fish and if your not enjoying your dates company you can go there and kiss a shark. for the kids and young adults to have fun. - For you to get there on bus in case you don’t have a car or don’t want to pay another $10 for parking get the 720 Rapid at the Alvarado and Wilshire bus stop .

VENICE BEACH:
Venice beach has an ocean Front Walk or just the boardwalk, Muscle Beach, the handball courts, the paddle tennis courts, Skate Dancing plaza, the numerous beach volleyball courts, the bike trail and the businesses and residences that have their addresses on Ocean Front Walk.
On the front walk of the beach, where you can walk there are a lot of stores, you can buy from surfing suits to sandals to bathing suits and much more. Also there’s little restaurants on the boardwalk if you get hungry like Hinano Cafe, Joe’s Restaurant, and much more. There’s also small skate parks where you can go with your friends and just chill and skate for a while.
- For the transportation you can also take the 720 rapid in Alvarado and Wilshire and walk towards the West and you’ll go towards Venice beach.

CITY WALK:
City walk is a great place to go. It starts from movie theaters, to restaurants to eat all you want, and stores like Hot Topic, Abercrombie & Fitch, Billabong, Guess accessories and more… you can go and chill with your friends and just have a good time… you should at least take $90 to get some of the stuff you would like and have maybe some extra money.

HOLLYWOOD HIGHLAND CENTER:
There you can find from food to music to cloth to clubs if your older than 18 of course.
They have a lot of stores you can shop till you drop for example: American Apparel, America Eagle, Build A Bear Workshop in case you have to baby sit a little brother or sister you can go with them there and have fun(: There’s also a bowling alley in the 2nd floor of the renaissanse hotel.
- This transportation you can get it also in the metro by MacArthur park in Alvarado st you take the red line toward North Hollywood and get off in Hollywood highland.
